Our Story
The Ragged Edges Duo are an acoustic/electric twosome made up of a couple of well-known musicians who have been performing around the mid-state area for over 10 years.
Thom Sheaffer has displayed his versatile lead vocal abilities with bands such as The McKabes, the Ragged Edges band, and Bordertown. Thom also doubles on acoustic guitar.
Guitarist Vaughn Hummel has performed with Thom in those very same bands, and has played with the country group Little Rock as well. Vaughn also adds his vocals to the duo.
The Ragged Edges Duo began as a result of Thom and Vaughn's desire to play a stripped down, laid-back acoustic format that would be appealing in smaller, more intimate venues. They have established a diverse, ever expanding repertoire of over 70 songs that encompasses a wide range of styles, including Rock, Pop, Country and more.
From Elton John and Eric Clapton to John Legend and Ed Sheeran; from Patsy Cline to Florida-Georgia Line; from The Beatles to Green Day; from soft, intimate numbers to rousing rockers, these guys cover a lot of musical ground.
